Make Your Best Mistakes

We don't have to be ordinary,
Make your best mistakes,
'Cause we don't have the time to be sorry..
Life of the party, By Shawn Mendes

Most people just stay content by living an ordinary life, taking no risks at all. They find bliss in their safe little universe. Well, I believe that if everyone is thinking alike, then someone isn't thinking at all!

People need to realize that doing something out of the ordinary is completely acceptable. By out of the ordinary, I don't mean going skydiving or parasailing or scuba-diving. Those are extreme sports and it's totally the individual's choice.

By out of the ordinary, I mean that you should try doing something new, which people don't embrace in their day-to-day lives. It might be scary, because you might fail or you might lose heart, but you do receive the experience. And experience is cheap at any cost. You just don't have the time in your life to cry over a failure. There's much more to life than that. Move on- be happy, be joyful, be confident and enjoy your life, bringing happiness to yourself and others.

What do people expect from a teenager? Usually it is - go to school, do well in every other aspect but simultaneously ace the tests, behave like an adult while being treated like a child, etcetera etcetera. Well, an out of the ordinary thinking is required here, both from the teenager's perspective and the society's. Now what the thought shall be, I will leave that option to you.

Being out of the ordinary can start with little things, before it turns into a lifestyle. For example, you could start out by having cornflakes for, say, dinner. Cornflakes are a stereotypical breakfast food option. You could start off the trend, because I'm sure, their taste doesn't vary at different times of the day!

I'm sure the definition of being out of the ordinary changes from person to person and this was just Miss Peppermint's take.

Miss Peppermint asks, what would your first step towards being out of the ordinary be? Tell me in the comments section down below!

The Loyal-Royal Emerald

Even if we can't find heaven,
I'll walk through hell with you.
Love, you're not alone,
'Cause I'm gonna stand by you.
-Stand by you, By Rachel Platten

The singer is probably promising that she would always remain loyal and support the person, through all walks of life. Even if he can’t get exactly where he wants to be, or get what he wants to get, she intends to stay by this person’s side. Through thick and thin, she promises that she would always have his back. In case the person does not achieve success, she assures him that he would not be deserted and she would help him face every hardship of life.

These emotions are all marvelous in theory. But with practical thinking, how many of us stay true to our promises of loyalty? Today, loyalty is measured through a post on Instagram. People have stopped appreciating real loyalty. Heck, people have stopped recognizing real loyalty.

According to the dictionary, loyalty is "a strong feeling of support and allegiance". Well, according to Miss Peppermint, loyalty does not stop at support. Loyalty is thinking for the betterment of the other person, over your own selfish motives.

Everyone likes being appreciated for the efforts and sacrifices s/he makes. If you just brush past someone who went out of their way to do something nice for you, you're probably gonna lose an emerald. You're probably gonna lose someone who would stand by you.

And now for a Peppermintal piece of advice
If you come across a real loyal person, hold on to them. They are made in very small numbers and you don't wanna lose them.

Miss Peppermint asks; Have you come across/lost a real loyal person before? Let me know in the comments section down below!
